If you are not sure about using the web portals, there are other options that you can do, like visiting the nearest Jio store or temporarily suspending the SIM by calling this number 1800-889-9999 from any other mobile phone. It is a toll-free number.
Suspending the Number is to block the fraudulent usage of your SIM card. Do not hesitate. You’ll get another SIM with the same number as your Aadhaar card is linked with the mobile number.
Visit the nearest Jio store
You can visit the nearest Jio store along with your passport size photograph and the Aadhaar card. You need to pay a small amount of INR25 to get the duplicate SIM card with the same number.
A fingerprint or biometric verification is required to issue a duplicate SIM. If you have already verified or registered the biometric details, you can re-check; otherwise, you need to register them. If you took the SIM many years ago, then you need to register with the biometric details.
Get a new SIM with the same old number
Once all the verifications are completed, you’ll get the SIM card with the same old mobile number. Insert the SIM into your device. The SIM will be activated within one or two hours. Enjoy with your old number.
What to do when you lost your JIO sim abroad?
It is very complicated when you are losing your JIO SIM card abroad. What you can do at this situation is just tell any of your family members to visit the nearest Jio store and tell them what has happened. By the way, you can simply block the SIM car using the selfcare system.
Fortunately, there is an international helpline number for Jio customer support service. The number is the International helpline: +91 70188 99999. Contact them directly and tell them about the loss of the SIM card. They’ll guide you accordingly.
